MEM alpha
Minimum Essential Medium (MEM) alpha is used for mammalian cell culture and for selection of DHFR negative cells after transfection. MEM alpha supports growth of a variety of suspension and adherent mammalian cells. HeLa, BHK-21, 293, HEP-2, HT-1080, MCF-7, fibroblasts eratinocytes, primary rat astrocytes, and human melanoma cells grow well in MEM α. American BioInnovations offers a variety of MEM α media for a range of cell culture applications.
